You suspect that food is causing your symptoms but you aren't sure what foods. You possibly experience symptoms including congestion, brain fog, diarrhea, constipation, eczema, joint and muscle pains, or even headaches. You've tried food journaling or an elimination diet but just can't seem to figure out what it is. That's where the MRT and LEAP protocol comes in. With the MRT food sensitivity testing, we can identify your trigger foods and chemicals, avoiding the guess work and freeing you from symptoms faster.

"So, what is the Mediator Release Test (MRT)?"

The MRT is a blood test that is used to estimate your immune response to 170 different foods or food chemicals.

Inflammation is at the root of so many health concerns today and taking a dietary approach is the most fundamental way to approach healing from the inside out. Our gut comprises 70-80% of our immune system, which means everything we eat and drink will either nourish our bodies for health or can pose a threat for inflammation. MRT evaluates if your body is truly reacting to a food or substance and thereby triggering an inflammatory response. The MRT is the most accurate food sensitivity test out there to identify foods, additives, and chemicals that are causing sensitivty reactions (we're talking 94.5% accuracy in sensitivity, and 91.7% in specificity).

"How does it work?"

MRT is a blood-based test in which samples of your blood are sent off to the lab. Once we get your results, we will go over them at length during your next session with me. From there, we will work to construct a plan of action.

"What do we do with the results?"

The Lifestyle Eating and Performance (LEAP) protocol is the follow-up step to your MRT test. This is what will help establish the ground work for moving forward, providing you with a plan specifically designed to lower your inflammation by eating only non-reactive foods for two weeks, and slowly adding foods back in to target your unique threshold for non-tested and higher-reactive foods.

As a Certified LEAP Therapist, I will work closely with you every step of the way, keeping you on track on your plan as well as helping to navigate any troubleshooting in the process.
