Meal planning resource
I hate meal planning. Who has time for it?
I'll tell you a little secret... I actually don't do my own meal planning. Ha. There I said it. Recently, I've been using Real Plans to help me plan my meals. This program can be fully customized to your diet. If you're wanting full reins over your meal plan, select recipes from their database of over 1,500 recipes. If you don't care what you have to eat that week or you're feeling adventurous, try the roulette option for a meal plan in the time it takes your browser to refresh! Want to hear more about my experience with it? Check out my blog post I wrote about it.
Farm fresh food: a buyers club
I believe that food shouldn't be complicated. When it comes to eating a healthy diet, we need to look for simple foods, foods that nature provided us. Organic produce, whole-fat milk products, and animal meats that were raised on their natural diets. These foods are what our bodies are meant to run on. These foods nourish our bodies, feeding our souls with life and vibrancy. When we tinker with these wholesome foods, this is where disease sneaks in. The Holistic Dietitian has teamed up with ROCK Farmers Market in efforts to change the way society views food. We bridge the gap between hard-working farmers and ranchers and our busy families living within DFW. Everything offered through ROCK Farmers Market is approved by The Holistic Dietitian.
I find it pretty pathetic that the European Union law has banned 1,400 chemicals from cosmetics that are known or suspected to cause cancer, genetic mutation, reproductive harm or birth defects. In comparison, the FDA has only banned or restricted 30 chemicals from cosmetics. Beautycounter's Never List™ is made up of more than 1,500 questionable or harmful chemicals that they never use in their products. Also, many lines of makeup are contaminated with heavy metals, with can accumulate in the body over time. That’s why I am excited to be a part of this company and their revolutionary shift for safer skin care products.
Mass-produced wines contain chemicals additives, pesticides, and sweeteners to establish predictability and consistency among each bottle of wine. If you're like me and are conscious about living a clean lifestyle but enjoy a glass of wine here and there, you want that wine to at least match your lifestyle. Since discovering organic and clean-crafted wines from Scout & Cellar, I can support producers who are choosing to ditch the nasty stuff in their wine and truly offer a product that resembles my "as nature intended" lifestyle. These wines are made with grapes grown with no pesticides, confirmed by lab testing. Not only that but these vineyards utilize sustainable organic and biodynamic farming methods. There are no added sulfites,no added sugar, and none of the over 250 FDA approved additives! Added bonus: when fermented with traditional processes, wine can actually be a great source of probiotics! Gluten-free, and paleo- and keto-friendly.
